I was not very motivated to take pictures in Belize City--it doesn't have a lot of charm. San Ignacio, in the hills along the Macal River near the western border of Belize, was more inviting. The next day we joined a group for the 2-hour drive through the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve to the Classic Mayan ruin of Caracol.
