After breakfast, we met our guides, Mauricio and Pedro. Like most pepole in this community, they are members of the pictured Evangelical church. We started off down the dirt road into the bio-reserve around the dirt road to minor Mayan ruin of El Zotz. (Zotz means "bat" in Mayan, and we saw plenty of them leaving the cave near the ruin for their nightly feeding at sundown.)
