The Lukla airstrip

Notice the construction work bottom left. The terminal was torn down and being rebuilt, and next year the airstrip will be paved. (Note: if it doesn't look flat, that's because it isn't; the 15 degree slope helps the planes slow down on landing and gain speed on takeoff.)
