The gate into Namche

Another shot of the entrance to Namche. Notice the chertin (or stupa) with the gold roof to the left. This is a Buddhist shrine which which is replicated on the outskirts of most villages. Ath the lower right is the entrance gate into town, which you typically walk through, spinning any prayer wheels it has built in to make the most auspicious entrance.
